Practice:
All players must be registered with the GT Stallions prior to participating in any practices. You can sign up online or at the snack stand.
During the first week of practice, players will only need cleats, shorts and t-shirt. Equipment will be distributed during the first week.
Practice will start on time. Once we’re in pads, please arrive 15-minutes prior and be ready/dressed in full gear for practice unless otherwise stated by the head coach.
Please make sure your Coach is aware of any medical issues your child may have. If your child has asthma, you are required to bring an inhaler to every practice and every game.
Scrimmages may be scheduled throughout the season as a supplement to practice. Time and location will be communicated by your head coach or team mom. Transportation to and from scrimmages is the responsibility of the parents.
Water Breaks will be provided by the coaches during practices.
Coaches must be notified if a player will not be at practice.
Parents are expected to stay for the duration of practice – especially for the younger and inexperienced players. If you must leave, please let your child know who is responsible for them in your absence. The coaches are there to coach all the children and cannot be left responsible for your child.
It’s best to assume that practice will be held every day even during bad weather. To determine whether practice is canceled, please check www.gtstallions.com. All weather-related cancellations/delays are posted on our website. You may also follow us on Twitter to receive text alerts or text “follow @gtstallions” to 40404. You do not need a Twitter account to receive these text messages. There will be no individual phone calls made for weather cancellations/delays.
Games:
Game schedules will be posted on www.gtstallions.com and http://schedule.sjiyfa.org/schedule.php when completed.
All Varsity home games will be played at GT Blenheim. All JV home games will be played at GT Community Park on Hickstown Rd unless otherwise noted.
Transportation to and from games is the responsibility of the parents. Every effort will be made to provide accurate GPS addresses for all away games.
Please arrive at game locations at the time determined by your coach. The team will need time to gear up, warm up, go over game plans and check in with the opposing team with player ID cards. All of this must be completed as a complete team. Don’t be late.
Field Rules:
At the Hickstown Field, players and parents should not walk through soccer practice areas at any time. The field is a shared facility, and you must remain respectful of other sports organizations with whom we share the fields.
For safety reasons, family pets – leashed or unleashed, are not allowed at and should not be brought to the practice fields or to games.
The Gloucester Township Community Park and Blenheim fields have been designated “Tobacco and Vape Free Environments”.
As athletes of the GT Stallions program you represent yourself and your teammates on and off the field. Whether in victory or defeat, you will conduct yourself with pride and poise.
